the online live music gig guide for birmingham & the midlands

Alfa Zulu

Hailing from the sleepy hollows of Great Malvern, this misshapen quartet comprising of Roachy on vocals and guitar, bass player Timmy, Weener guitar, and drummer Banni, pull together a variety of influences to create a solid Rock sound. Reeling off a list of influences which would cover every genre in a record store, Alfa Zulu would be the first to admit there are distinct echoes of bands like the Lost Prophets, yet are adamant that they are putting their own stamp on them.

The only attitude here is in the music, and with truly honest live performances its clear to see why. Formed a little over 12 months ago, Alfa Zulu have been honing their blend of driven beat with slick guitar riffs and are now unleashing their infectious sound in a town near you. Look out for stand out tracks 'Kleopatra' and 'Come And See Me'.

"The band play accessible alternative rock with hints of funk, a smidgen of hip-hop and a dose of punky attitude. The band performed well as a unit and each of their songs had a certain charm and often an infectious chorus to boot."
